Like a little air of déjà-vu, don't you think? This water tower, characteristic of 19th century iron architecture, hidden in the Halatte forest a few kilometers from Senlis will surprise you! If the local rumor states that it is indeed Eiffel who built this tower, the identity of the real author of the work is not known. But it is likely that one of his students was responsible for its construction. It is the only metallic water tower in the north of France. Initially built around 1895 to supply water to a thoroughbred stable belonging to the chocolate maker Albert Menier, the water tower is currently a municipal reservoir. Did you know that? Like the Eiffel Tower, the water tower must be repainted every eight years!
