L'église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption

In the heart of the village, the church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the only one in the Mont Sainte-Odile region to have important elements of Gothic architecture. Originally a simple wooden chapel, it was replaced in the 11th century by a stone building. A century later it was transformed into a small church in Romanesque style.

In the 14th century, a restoration was undertaken and a gothic choir with 7 openings was added. Two of them still house remarkable stained glass windows dating from 1340. Each of the stained glass windows is composed of 5 medallions relating scenes from the life of Christ.
