Villefranche de Rouergue, a XIIIth century fortified town located in the west of the Aveyron, near the Lot, the Tarn and the Garonne.
Sub-prefecture of 12 000 inhabitants, in the heart of the Gorges of the Aveyron.
Endowed with a rich architectural heritage, the city has preserved the originality of its medieval town planning, its strong commercial tradition and its embalmed Thursday morning markets where the diversity of local products is mixed. Crossed by the Aveyron River and located at an altitude of 250 meters, Villefranche de Rouergue enjoys a particularly mild climate throughout the year.
