Gateway to the department's sites of memory, the Ardennes War and Peace Museum is dedicated to the three major conflicts that have marked the Ardennes. The Museum thus offers an account of the historical events that took place in the department, which finds its natural extension in the discovery of the "traces" that the conflicts left on the territory. History is presented continuously, from 1852 to 1945, in order to capture the sequences, continuities and breaks. With a collection of 16,000 objects, including 150 uniforms and 50 heavy machines, its journey is punctuated by spectacular projections, animated maps and atmospheric settings. A vast chronological gallery and sequences on the daily life of soldiers and civilians present a multiple view of History, a resolutely original and educational visit concept for adults and children.
