Contemporary art museum in Latronquière, northern Lot, with 400 m2 of exhibition space. The Gabriel Museum exhibits its permanent collection of monumental sculptures by Gabriel Elbaz Kercoff, as well as 17 exhibitions by guest artists which follow one another month by month. The full program is available on the sculptor's website and in hard copy at tourist offices.
The museum is housed in a 1930s Art Deco building known as "Le Magasin Universel". It's a former "grand magasin" inspired by the department stores of Paris, a curiosity in its own right and a place of remembrance for local children.
