The Porte Neuve is one of the four gates in the ramparts of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
The ramparts were built at the beginning of the 13th century on the foundations of a Gallo-Roman wall by Philippe de Hurepel, Count of Boulogne. The bases of the tower date from the 16th century; the portal and abutments from 1632. The pedestrian passage was built in 1895. Above, a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary stands on a building known in the 19th century as "_Aubete" and used as the residence of an auxiliary major. It was destroyed around 1866.
