The only complete 18th century Cistercian abbey in France. First built in the 12th century, it was completely rebuilt in the 17th century following numerous historical events that completed its prosperity. When it was rebuilt, it became a jewel of baroque art, thanks in particular to the intervention of the Austrian sculptor Pfaffenhoffen. Come and discover the Abbey of Valloires, then stroll in its French gardens! You will discover an exceptional site combining Cistercian simplicity with the exuberance of a rococo universe: organ case, suspended angels, high altar, salons with rococo style woodwork... will surprise you.
