D’abord construite au XIIème siècle, elle a été intégralement reconstruite au XVIIème suite à de nombreux évènements historiques qui ont achevé sa prospérité. A sa reconstruction, elle devient un joyau de l’art baroque, grâce notamment à l’intervention du sculpteur autrichien Pfaffenhoffen.
