Part 15
At La Cluse et Mijoux, this route leaves the hiking route (GR 145) to connect in Jougne to the Cyclovia (bicycle trail) through Switzerland and Italy.
After La Cluse et Mijoux, you first pass the lake of Saint Point and then gradually go up to the col de Jougne (1012 meters).
In the center of Jougne one picks up the official cycling route as published by the Via Francigena organization.
The routes of the routes can be found at:
https://www.viefrancigene.org/en/cycling-path/
or one can use the app. Install “Via Francigena” on the smart Phone via Google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.midapp.itineraria.viefrancigene&gl=EN
and the Apple App Store
https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/via-francigena-app-ufficiale/id1337076329
You will notice that the line indicating the route on the map occasionally deviates from the road. But in general it is clear what is meant.
After this process, it is recommended to enter the files in the map layers of open cycle maps or Google maps because the overnight addresses, catering, shops, etc. are visible there.
