Description by the author

From a camping 50 km south of Paris to 50 km north of Paris, mostly following the Eurovelo 3.
It is feasable, but not a joy. Bad signalization, loads of car traffic, gravel roads with glass shards and industrial surroundings. My advice: take the train from Corbeil-Essonnes to gare de Lyon (RER, no transfer, 45 minutes, bikes go free between 9:00 and 16:30), transfer to gare du Nord by bike and take a train out to Pont-Sainte-Maxence (TER, no transfers, 45 minutes, bikes go free).
In this way you save time to enjoy Paris by bike and miss out on the suburban mess. That said, the route from Place de la Bastille up to Gressy along the canal is very nice.
