When you follow the Aure, you will soon reach the coast at Longues-sur-Mer, where one of the best-positioned gun batteries of the Atlantic Wall stood, on the border of Gold and Omaha Beach. From Longues-sur-Mer, it is a short descent to Arromanches and its impressive artificial harbor. In the vicinity of Arromanches lies Juno Beach and the Canadian cemetery. When you cycle east, you will end up in Courseulles-sur-Mer, where you can enjoy delicious seafood, which is what the town is known for.
