Gorges de la Nesque

This walk starts and ends in the town of Monieux, 6km southwest of Sault on the D942. Parking at the entrance of the city. For a snack and a drink, you can visit the restaurant Les Lavandes in the center. There is also the beginning of the walk.

Definitely a nice walk. The first part climbs on a narrow path. Then descent to the chapel Saint-Michel, first gradually but after crossing the D942 it descends extremely steeply. By the way, signs warn of the danger of falling. Finally, we descend into the ravine on the river La Nesque. At the medieval chapel of Saint-Michel. Then we cross the river via stones that are in the bed. Just look outside for the continuation of the path between the rocks. After a steep climb, it gradually descends through the valley of the Nesque towards Monieux. Towards the end, we pass a lake where there are tables and benches, popular with the French for a pic-.
