This walking route near the fairy-tale-like Pierrefonds takes you through the Forêt Domanial de Compiègne. You pass through a large forest that in some places is also clearly a swamp. Waterproof shoes are definitely recommended, and make sure to check afterwards for ticks, as they are always present there as well. In terms of beauty, this route is definitely highly recommended!
