A rich environment on the Leyre delta, the Domaine de Certes lies on one of the most important migration routes for avifauna, and is an internationally important migration site for many bird species, including the Eurasian spoonbill. Formerly a salt marsh, this vast area reclaimed from the sea has been converted into a fish farming site, and is now dedicated to the protection of natural environments.
This 12.3 km circuit starts at the Château de Certes parking lot and leads to the Lanton bathing basin. Guided naturalist tours are offered by the Conseil Départemental de la Gironde.
