Le pic d'Oliferne

At the starting sign "Boutavant", you will not take the road going directly up to the Pic d'Oliferne, you will go down in the direction of "Champs Pertus".
You will then go up through the mountain pasture to reach the ridge dominating the valley of the Valouse.
You will leave it to join the "Bois des Marguerites".

Once you have reached the "PIC D'OLIFERNE" post, take the time to follow the loop of the Heritage Trail which, in 600 m, allows you to discover the entire medieval site (interpretation panels, Oliferne peak, lookout point, surrounding walls, castle dwelling, turret and legends that have made Oliferne a place almost as magical as the forest of Brocéliande).
The castle of Oliferne, built in the 13th century, was located on a site considered impregnable. It was however conquered and reduced to ruins.
From the promontory, the view allows to admire both the valley of the Valouse and the lake of Coiselet.

You will then retrace your steps before taking the path back down to the hamlet of Boutavant. You will then take the ridge.
You will walk on a shaded path, with all the same open parts allowing to admire the lake of Coiselet located in the valley.

- Bring walking shoes and clothes appropriate to the weather conditions.
- Inform your friends and family of your itinerary and your return time.
- Be prepared and do not overestimate your strength.
- Don't forget that the space is shared by all: farmers, foresters, hunters, walkers, mountain bikers, horse riders.
- Respect crops and private property.
- Do not scare the herds, do not leave your dogs unattended and close the fences.
- Do not leave the marked trails.
- Do not leave any garbage in the nature.
- Be careful when crossing high traffic roads.
