Description by the author

The castle of Salm was built as early as 1190 by Count Henry III, solicitor of the Abbey of Senones. The site experienced an important development during the 16th century. But, abandoned, it falls into ruin. The castle of Salm belonged to one of the most powerful families of Lorraine. The panorama from the Hanged Cat is one of the great moments of this tour. A 20 m high cliff whose summit is 900 m high, it offers a magnificent panorama.
