The great Franco-Swiss hiking itinerary of the Échappée Jurassienne allows you to cross the Jura Massif on foot from West to East, without any borders. This hiking itinerary takes in the most important sites of the Franco-Swiss Jura. Its 352 km of marked hiking trails GR® (59, 559 and 509 and 5) are a real summary of what the cross-border Jura massif has to offer!

A great itinerant hike and two "arrival towns
The "Échappée Jurassienne" links the town of Dole, a city of art and history in the Jura plain, to the resort of Les Rousses in the heights of the cross-border Jura massif. At the resort of Les Rousses, hikers can choose to follow the original itinerary to cross the Haut-Jura and arrive at Saint-Claude, remaining exclusively in France, or to follow the Swiss itinerary to reach Nyon on the shores of Lake Geneva via the summit of La Dôle and thus hike in Switzerland for 45km.
