Strolling around Grasse, the world capital of perfume

With this city guide we see all the sights of the world capital of perfume.

Parking at the Place du cours Honoré Cresp.

We first walk down the steps of the Rue Mirabeau a bit to see the historical buildings of the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Provence and a bit further the façade of the Hugues Ainé factory . We turn back and walk into the Rue Jean Ossoloa with the typical boutiques and perfume shops.

We walk to the Cathedral Notre-Dame du Puy and further to a lookout point, after which we return. The imposing Monument aux Morts and the Tour de l'Évêque are the eye-catchers here. Along the Place des aertistes and the fountain arcades we walk to the lookout point at the Chapelle Saint-Michel.

At the Place aux Herbes we can take a breather, but a little further away the Place aux Aires is an alternative.

We climb along the beautiful Escaliers du Thouron to the Route Napoleon where a number of interesting historical buildings are located.

There are many other sights around our starting point, including the Palais des Congres, the music kiosk with large letters as a viewpoint and the Fontaine de la Sagesse.
