Path of the lute makers and lace makers

This route in a semi-urban/semi-rural area will allow you to discover the heritage assets of the territory, its surprising passages, varied landscapes, and remarkable viewpoints. A variant will allow you to shorten the route at the level of Mazirot. Discover the college - gardens - old well of Poussay - viewpoints...

Starting point: Place Thierry

Leave Place Thierry to the south. Take Neuf-Moulin Street until the intersection with Bonn-Beul Street. Take straight ahead a path that runs alongside the old canal. Continue on the Miraucourt path until a road (D266); cross it and engage in the path in front. Further on, pass under an SNCF bridge and come out onto a road near the Joly farm (INRA). Turn right.

At the top, turn left onto a very small path within the hedges. Come out onto a dead end that we take. At the intersection, continue straight into Claude Gelée Street. At the end, continue up Maurice-Barrès Street.
Turn left onto Porterat Street (hidden among the gardens, the houses of Lundi, a meeting place for luthiers to feast), then turn right onto Paul-Hilaire Street. Turn again right in front of the water tower to join Balivi Street that we take to the right. Continue along Emile-Ouchard Street.

At the level of the buried reservoirs, take a path to the left. At the bottom, turn right then left to pass under the railway. Continue along the path before turning left onto the Vignes Street to reach D166, cross the road carefully under the SNCF viaduct.
Take the first road on the right (Marchand path). Cross the Val d’Arol stream and head to the right towards "Clos des Jards" in Poussay.

At the end, go up the Marronniers alley to the left, then turn right after the cemetery. Continue down the dead end in front of the town hall, then Place du Vieux Puits. Descend the village and turn right in front of Saint Maurice church. Continue down the stairs. At the bottom, turn right to join D413, take it to the right, then cross.

Engage to the left, pass under the SNCF bridge to continue on a path toward the footbridge on the Madon, then to Mazirot.
Before the village, turn right. At the calvary, take the road straight ahead, locality called "La Haie des Putains." At the Roman road, turn right and go down passing in front of the pumping station. Cross the Talencourt stream. Pass under the bypass road bridge of Mirecourt.
Take the first path on the right. At the top, follow D166. Take D10b on the left for about 250m.
Engage to the right onto a narrow path leading to quai Lebreuil. Take the road to the left and follow the path built along the banks of the Madon to return to the start.
