GR de Country: The Tour of the Vologne - Great Escapes of the Vosges

Set off on a 148-kilometer adventure to discover the Vologne. Eleven days to traverse varied landscapes, meeting the source of this river near the Hohneck! Gérardmer, Granges-Aumontzey, Xonrupt-Longemer, and Bruyères, all these towns will welcome you for a swim in clear water, discovering the rural and artisanal heritage of the Vosges, or refreshing yourself on a terrace after a long day of walking. From the Vosges foothills, at the gates of the Hautes-Vosges, to the ascent of the third summit of the massif, you will be treated to numerous breathtaking panoramas. Rocks, forests, meadows, lakes, and alpine gardens, you will have a condensed experience of the Vosges on a single route. Then the ridges and the Hohneck. The high point of your journey, you will walk along steep cliffs where chamois frolic. You will struggle to choose between admiring these animals or gazing at the stunning view before you, where on a clear day, the Alps reveal themselves in a bright and white background. Finally, you will follow the Vologne again to find your way back to your starting point, filled with beautiful memories.
