Hiking - the path of stones

Access: From Remiremont, go to Plombières-les-Bains. Cross the town and then head towards the Casino.
Parking: Park facing the Parc Impérial.

Distance: 9 km / Duration: 3 h / Elevation: 170m / Marking: green disk.

1) Departure from the Parc Impérial by going around the outdoor pool on the left. Cross the old railway bridge that spans the Augronne. Walk approximately 500m on the old ballast.
2) Leave the ballast for a paved path, then a second path that is only stony heading to the right. In its first part, it follows the contour line. When the path widens and gains altitude, keep the same direction.
3) A sign indicates the Pierre Rousseau located slightly below the path (text carved in stone borrowed from Rousseau). Continue straight to Moulin Taqueré (remnants of the last mill near the stream).
4) Return to the farm, following the edge of the forest in search of the Croix Rouge (on the pedestal: the names of the three young men who were massacred in this forest). At the next intersection, a short marked trail leads to the cup stone, 300m round trip. Continue upstream on a wide forest path leading to the hamlet of Petit Moulin.
5) Cross this hamlet then the D 157 and immediately enter the small wood. At the exit of this wood, a paved path leads from farm to farm. At the second intersection, turn left towards the gas station.
6) Encounter with the fountain circuit. Follow the left path towards a last farm and its calvary. Descend towards the forest and follow the small path on the right.
7) The end of the circuit, all downhill, leads back to the Parc Impérial via the main street of the resort or via the discovery circuit of Plombières and the Tivoli park.
