Imprinted with history and remarkable natural sites, the Fossard massif rises above Docelles. It is from this town with a rich paper-making past, bathed by the Vologne and the Barba, that you take the loop of Haut du Bois. You can then enjoy a varied trail where forest paths alternate with open spaces. Many viewpoints overlooking the surrounding valleys dot the route.
With no notable difficulties aside from its length, this hike allows you to discover, among other things, the Auberge du Ruxelier where it is nice to eat or stay in the heart of the Vosges nature.
In the early morning, the luckiest may catch a glimpse of wild animals.
