Stroller circuit of Fresse sur Moselle

Loop circuit of 2.5km. Duration: 1h15. Departure: parking lot of the church in Fresse-sur-Moselle. A route that will take you to the gates of a beautiful mountain valley, the valley of the Colline de Fresse-sur-Moselle. 1. Cross the parking lot towards the main entrance of the church and walk along this building on its left side. 2. At the STOP sign, go up the sidewalk along the church. Then cross the pedestrian crossing towards "Rue de la Chapelle". 3. Keep close to the edge of the road; there is no sidewalk. You can see a gym below on your right. 4. At the next intersection, you can admire a calvary: it is the Croix des Roges. Take the right road "Rue du Pont Déchet". 5. The road runs alongside the stream of the Colline where you may see fish swimming in the clear waters. After the bridge, the climb is a bit steeper. 6. You will then arrive at an intersection marked by a cross (Croix de la Voye) and a bench. It is an ideal place to rest and enjoy a lovely view of the Colline, a charming wild valley dotted with farms nestled in the mountains. 7. Turn right at this intersection. The balcony road descends slightly and offers beautiful views of the mountains and the village center in the background. 8. At the first intersection, continue straight ahead. At the second intersection, go straight again. You see the Ballon de Servance straight ahead with its summit topped by a military radar. At 1216 meters, it is the highest point in Haute-Saône. 9. At the next crossing, turn right onto "Rue des Meix Beillia". The church is in front of you, just a few strides away. 10. The road starts a steep descent to the STOP. 11. Go straight across the pedestrian crossing then cross the "Léon GARNIER" footbridge (local historian 1919-2005) that spans the stream of the Colline. 12. You have arrived at the Place de l’Eau Vive. On your right, you can see the War Memorial behind which is the Garden of Freedom. 13. Go straight ahead to the firefighters' building then turn right. You are on the Gilbert DIDIERLAURENT alley. 14. You pass by the school of Petits Erudits on the left. Then turn left in front of the church. A ground marking indicates that this is a pedestrian way. 15. You are back at the square of the Corps Franc Pommiès, the starting point of the walk.
