Parking: free parking in downtown or near the lake. Access to the boatmen's dock is about 300 m away.
Route: take the lakeside trail on the left side (back to the city). The path goes around the campsite located by the lake and then joins a difficult, narrow, and rocky path that is inaccessible to strollers, leading to the end of the lake. Continue along this path which then runs alongside the Épinal road to the boatmen's dock.
Weather conditions can make this route difficult or even impractical in winter. In any case, good shoes are recommended for this route as some sections may be muddy depending on the current weather.
