Hiking - the emperor's path

Access: From Remiremont, take the road to Val-d'Ajol and after 2 km, turn left towards Girmont-Val-d'Ajol.
Parking: Park in the large parking lot near the covered area.

Distance: 6.6 km / Duration: 2 h / Elevation: 184 m / Marking: red ring.

1) Start from the parking lot, go to the right of the covered area and cross the meadow to reach the forest. Descend a fairly steep slope, but with nice twists towards the small road and head right. Take a path on the right and leave it immediately to follow a trail on the left.
2) Cross a road and take a path directly ahead that leads to the Géhard Waterfall. Descend along the stream until you reach a path. Take it on the right and join the road. Follow it for a moment and head right again on a forest path to the Emperor's Chalet.
3) Go straight ahead by taking a wide path and leave it to the left by a rather steep climbing path to reach the hamlet of Dropt (option to take a detour) and then return via the road to the village parking lot.
