Hiking - the heights of Saint-Nabord

Access: From Saint-Nabord, pass in front of the town hall then the church. Follow the direction "Derrière chaumont" by road until you reach the parking near the "Rond Caillou".
Parking: park at the parking near the Rond Caillou.

Distance: 8.6 km / Duration: 2 h 30 / Elevation: 188m / Marking: blue ring.

1) From the parking, head to the Rond Caillou. From there, take the path on the right that climbs following the blue ring marking. At the end of the climb, turn left.
2) At an intersection with the road, cross to take the marked path directly ahead (a sign indicates the direction of the "Patte d’oie"). Pass the barrier and stay on this path for more than a kilometer. At the next barrier, pass it and follow the cottage on the right while remaining on the Bennevises path.
3) At the crossroads, turn right following the direction "Vrupt" and Raon-aux-Bois indicated on a new wooden sign. Further on, at the place called "Patte d’oie", take the road to the left which quickly becomes a vehicle-accessible path. Stay on the path.
4) At a large bend, stay on the path that turns left and go along the houses until you reach "Vrupt". Continue on the path that runs alongside the fields and then joins the forest, going straight ahead. At the next wooden sign, leave the path for a trail to the left towards Raon-aux-Bois. Further on, the trail joins a vehicle-accessible path: take it going straight uphill. At the next wooden sign, leave the main path for a trail to the left towards "Harmangoutty".
5) At the crossroads, turn left uphill on the marked path, then at the intersection a little further on, turn right onto a descending trail at a wooden sign indicating "Rond Caillou". Stay on the path that runs beside a house and then a relay antenna a bit further on. Continue straight until the next intersection. From there, go down to the right and continue on the path.
6) The path joins the road: pass the barrier and turn right towards "Saint-Nabord". Go along the house and at the "cross of the pestilents", turn left. Stay on the road until you return to the starting point.
