1. Leave the place Jules-Ferry to cross the Stanislas bridge (18th century). Immediately turn right and continue following the Madon towards a small square. From there, take the small path and climb the stairs towards the chapel of la Oultre. Pass to the right behind the chapel (11th century) to reach the street of Haut-de-Chaumont which you take to the right.

2. At the fork, take the right path of the promenade of Haut-de-Chaumont. Continue along the small paved road through the woods for about 300 m.

3. Leave the road to take the path on the right. Continue the walk along the Madon. Continue along the path that runs beside the river, which goes under the forest cover several times. This then gives way to orchards with the church of Mattaincourt in sight.

4. Take the path on the left. Climb towards the plateau through the meadows, the vines, and the orchards of the slope (great view of the village of Mattaincourt). On the plateau, continue the path to the right, then at the end, go left. Continue overlooking the D166 until the reservoir (view of the villages of Vroville and Villers).

5. Fork left to descend towards Mirecourt via the road. After a pond located on the right, take the farm track on the left for a few dozen meters.

6. Turn right onto the descending path and return to the fork from the way out.
