Progressive ascent route through the tracks up to the Tête de Grouvelin (the highest point of Gérardmer) and then descent towards the Chaume, the Hautes Vannes, and then the Bas-Rupts. Ascend to the Xetté and then descend to the edge of the lake and climb back up to the reception center via the Roche du Rain.
Follow the markers with the blue No. 4. (16.3 km, 583 m D+). Estimated duration: from 1h20 to 2h30 depending on skill level.
