From the Farm to the Pastures

Set off to discover a 10.8 km countryside hike, immersing yourself in the heart of the pastures and rural heritage. This bucolic route connects the villages of Kappelkinger and Petit-Tenquin, plunging you into an authentic scenery of fields and meadows where sheep, cows, and horses graze peacefully.

Starting from Kappelkinger, you will be charmed by its half-timbered houses and the Saint-Jacques church from 1733, living witnesses of a preserved rural heritage.
Along the way, the lovely passage under the porch of the Zellen educational farm welcomes you and invites you to continue towards the verdant landscapes.

Continue your walk towards the hamlet of Petit-Rohrbach, where an impressive natural monument awaits you: a majestic pedunculate oak from the 13th century, about twenty meters tall. This centuries-old giant has watched over this land for centuries, a true witness to the history of the place.
Throughout this circuit, let yourself be carried away by the serenity of the meadows, rhythmically punctuated by the presence of animals and the gentle breeze in the pastures.
A small part of the route, in Kappelkinger, is shared with the circuit “Colchiques et Marais” of 11.3 km, which will take you to the Val de Guéblange.

- Connections: a 3.2 km connection allows you to reach Hilsprich, and thus the circuits “Around the Marais pond” (11.8 km) at the Marais pond in Rémering-lès-Puttelange and “In the footsteps of the Marsouins” (13 km) partially around the Hirbach pond in Holving and Hilsprich.
