Pushchair circuit Le Ménil

Loop circuit of 2.7 km. 1h15. Departure: Tourist information office of Ménil. A route that allows you to tour Ménil, a charming little mountain village. 1. From the parking lot facing the tourist office, with the church behind you, head left towards the bakery. Do not cross the road, walk on the sidewalk on your right. 2. You successively pass by the town hall, an old butcher shop, and then the hotel-restaurant “Les Sapins”. 3. Turn right before the cemetery to enter “rue du Général De Gaulle”. You will see a lovely calvary on the left. 4. 200 meters further, you arrive at the multifunctional hall “La Familiale”. Go around it on your right if you wish to enjoy the rest area and city park along the stadium. Children can have a great time there. 5. Go back the way you came until you reach the road that you will follow on your right. 6. Then enter the first street on the right, “rue des Tissages”. You pass over a peaceful stream. Take the opportunity to admire the lovely landscaping on the left side of the road. 7. You then cross a second stream, the Ruisseau du Ménil. Take the first road on the right, signposted “Pizza Marina”. 8. Follow the main road straight ahead for about 800 meters. On the right, you can see an old textile factory, a witness to the industrial past of the municipality. 9. You then pass by beautiful houses clinging to the hillside. There are no sidewalks, so walk carefully on the edge of the road. The speed limit here is 30 km/h for the safety of walkers and motorists. 10. At a curve on the left, take the “rue des Calvaires” on your right. The road descends slightly to a bridge that crosses a lovely little stream. A pretty shaded beach is located on the left but it is unfortunately not accessible by stroller. 11. The road climbs up to the STOP sign where there is a calvary. You thus join the main road, the D486. Turn right and follow this road while being careful to stay on the sidewalk. 12. 100 meters further, on the left side of the road, is the terrace of the tobacco and newsagent “Chez Nadine”. You can take a break there with your family if you feel like it. 13. Continue along the main road and then take the right just before the church on the aptly named “rue de l’Eglise” to return to the starting point.
