From Green to the Forest

Discover a hiking trail at the heart of nature, with two possible starting points: the village of Rouhling and the Golf Sarreguemines Confluences. The circuit "From the Green to the Forest" offers a variety of landscapes and points of interest for nature lovers and local history enthusiasts.

The hike begins with a crossing of Rouhling, starting from the town hall, providing a glimpse of local life. Once out of the village, the path plunges into the Grosbliederstroff forest, using small shaded trails. In the middle of the 4 km walk in the forest, a lovely viewpoint reveals itself, offering a panoramic view of Germany in the valley.

After crossing the forest, you will arrive at the Golf Sarreguemines Confluences. The route continues for 1.3 km through this beautifully maintained golf course. This passage is worth seeing, with a viewpoint that allows you to observe on one side the city of Sarreguemines and on the other the village of Rouhling. For the more adventurous, it is possible to extend the hike by taking the "Golf Walk" circuit, adding 3.5 km to the initial route.

The way back to Rouhling continues along a bike path. Continuing, still in a green-tinged setting, a small setup invites you to a refreshing break adorned with a bench and a small stream surrounded by flowers. Along the way, you will pass by an organic orchard and the arboretum of Rouhling, offering a pastoral pause to admire the diversity of plants and trees. You will then cross the village of Rouhling and pass in front of its church and the House of Arts and Traditions, a house that has preserved all the attributes of the 19th-century Lorraine farm; two points of interest that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.

This hiking route is ideal for those looking to recharge in the heart of nature while discovering local charms. Whether you are an experienced hiker or a Sunday stroller, this circuit offers a rewarding and varied experience. Put on your hiking shoes and set off on this trail that promises relaxation, discoveries, and panoramas.
