Walking circuit - Ruxurieux - The Champ d'Evraux

Marking: yellow diamond - green-white flag.
It is advisable to wear good hiking shoes, also plan to bring drinks in a backpack, keep your dog on a leash, and respect the trails.
Departure: Corcieux, church square.
1/ Take Doctor Poirot Street on the left. At the end of the street, turn left onto the street of the 31st BCP (yellow diamond).
2/ You arrive at the place called La Croix Florence (alt 543 m). At the intersection, notice a calvary (1804). Continue straight towards Ruxurieux (alt 547 m) (yellow diamond).
Cross the hamlet and its old houses * that escaped the disaster of 1944 (magnificent lintels) *.
After passing under the high voltage line coming from the Fessenheim nuclear power plant, turn left towards La Vierge (yellow diamond).
3/ 80 m further, continue left on the paved road (green and white rectangle).
You arrive at Champ d'Évraux. Continue to the next intersection and turn left. In front of you, panorama of the Corcieux basin, Mont Thiriville on the left and the village of Vanémont dominated by the massif of La Roche des Corbeaux. Continue to the Champ d'Évraux intersection (alt 527 m) and take another left.
4/ 100 m after the high voltage line, take the dirt path on the left to reach the football field. Cross the Myrtilles housing estate (alt 528 m). In front of the cheese factory, turn left onto rue de la Gare to return to the starting point at the church square.

To see:
THE VOSGIEN FARM: Small windows, an entrance door, surrounded by Vosges sandstone (access to the living area), a rounded barn door for the passage of hay carts, and, on the side, a small low door leading to the stable allowing the cattle to go out.
THE LINTELS IN THE VOSGIEN HOUSES: The houses in Ruxurieux escaped the disaster of 1944. You can see several lintels (architectural elements located above the doors) in sculpted sandstone. On each, the date of construction of the house was indicated.
