Hiking - Saint-Arnould and Sainte-Sabine

Access: From St-Etienne-lès-Remiremont, at the center roundabout, head towards the mobile gendarmerie barracks. Continue to ascend towards Domaine Saint-Romary. After the estate, stay on the road until the next intersection on the right with a dirt path.
Starting Point: parking at Hautes Fontaines.

Distance: 6.7 km / Duration: 2 h 30 / Elevation: 315m / Signage: red ring until Ermitage Saint Arnould then yellow ring.

On the dirt road, park at an intersection with hiking trails. From there, follow the red ring signage, turning right towards the Fairy Bridge to reach it.
Just before the Fairy Bridge, take the Monks' Path on the left that ascends for a while. Follow the signage until you arrive at Ermitage Saint Arnould. Take a moment to admire a beautiful viewpoint over Saint-Etienne les Remiremont shortly before arriving.
At Ermitage Saint Arnould: small viewpoint, engraved rock, ruins, and archaeological excavations. This is the point where the signage changes. From now on, take the yellow ring signage that leads to a path on the right after the Saint Arnould cross. Follow this signage that will transition from a path to a track to reach Pierre Kerlinquin (745m altitude). At the crossroads of paths, turn left, then 50m further on, take the leftmost path. Keep following the signage by taking the path that will lead to the Sainte-Sabine chapel. On site: chapel and fountain.
To leave the site, go behind the chapel and then climb left to take the path still marked with the yellow ring. Higher up, at the crossroads near a large cross, take the dirt road that descends to the left. Follow this road and the yellow ring signage for more than a kilometer.
Leave the dirt road for a marked path that goes to the right. Be careful, the descent to the starting point is a bit steep: take your time!
