Hiking - the waterfall from Plombières

Access: From Remiremont, take the Plombières-les-Bains exit.
Parking: Parking de la Promenade, on the left coming from Remiremont.

Distance: 17 km / Duration: 5h / Elevation: 380m / Marking: red disk.

1) Start from the town hall of Plombières-les-Bains. Pass through the terraced gardens to reach the forest.
2) Follow the paved road until the hamlet of Petit Moulin (Petit Moulin was once famous for its outdoor swimming pool fed by spring water).
3) Go under the fast track and follow the D20 until the intersection at Hôtel Enfoncé (rural community center).
4) Take a paved road to the left and then further on to the right to reach the place called La Feuillée Dorothée (great viewpoint and cradle of the Vosges spruce).
5) At Prébosson, turn right and enter the forest after crossing a road. After the cross of Remoiriot (calvary), continue down a long slope leading close to the Faymont sawmill. Climb towards the parking area of the waterfall (picnic area).
6) Leave the waterfall by a steep path on the right that quickly leads to a small paved road. Follow the first path on the right for a long walk in the forest leading to the chapel dedicated to St Pierre Fourrier. Engage in the path close to the chapel until you reach a paved road.
7) Take the paved road to the right, pass the Adelphe pond enclosed by a hedge on the left. Go under the fast track and take a dirt path to the left.
8) In the hamlet of Combes, enter the undergrowth by a barely marked grassy path to the left. At the edge of the wood, descend towards Plombières.
