The Lorraine plateau rises to the east of Boulay at more than 400 m above sea level and thus overlooks the Warndt depression. These highlands, favorable to cereal farming, have also, in recent years, become a formidable source of renewable energy. The forest paths in the valley floor alternate with aerial routes along the plateau where the viewpoints are numerous.
For the more athletic, the circuit offers a variety of pleasant landscapes to traverse in trail mode.
