Pont-Sainte-Maxence à Compiègne

Compiègne is surrounded by a wooded setting that extends as far as the Château de Pierrefonds. To get out of town by bike, the route follows the river Oise, alongside the barges. It soon joins the dozens of ponds created by the exploitation of sand pits. Between Verberie and Pontpoint, numerous leisure facilities have been set up: ski lifts, fishing, swimming, birdwatching and pike spawning grounds.... It's at Pontpoint that the bikes leave the river Oise and the Route Stevenson®, to skirt the Royal Abbey of Moncel before reaching the foliage of the Halatte forest. The Scandibérique rides through the kingdom of the stag!
