Versigny is split in two by the road, with the village and its church on one side, and the imposing château and its grounds on the other.
The ancient stronghold of Versigny, built in the 14th and 15th centuries, was burnt down on the orders of Cardinal de Richelieu, worried about the power of its owners.
Reconstruction in the classical style began in 1640, and the garden was designed by landscape architect Le Nôtre.
The hamlet of Droizelles features a large building known as "La grande Ferme", in the grounds of a former château.
