The cycling and walking trail has been laid out on a former railroad line, making it accessible to bikes and baby carriages, but not rollerblades. From Estrées-Saint-Denis, it descends gently, with beautiful views over the countryside, to Longueil-Sainte-Marie (13 km). Beyond Longueil-Sainte-Marie, the trail continues for 6 km on very small roads to the Oise river, where it joins the Oise riverside trail.
