Immerse yourself in daily life in Nampcel during the German occupation on this 2.5 km trail dotted with interpretation panels.
The tour also presents the military organization of a village on the home front. Nampcel was occupied from August 31, 1914, until March 1917, when the Germans withdrew to the Hindenburg Line. It was occupied again by Imperial troops between May and August 1918. It was almost completely destroyed during the war: only two houses survived and can still be seen today.
The Abri du Kronprinz (Kronprinz shelter) is one of the remains of the village that bears witness to the passage of soldiers and the proximity of the fighting.
