On the Coucy plateau, a spur above the passage from the Ailette valley to the Oise valley, stand the remnants of what was the largest fortress in Europe. This small circuit that follows the outline of the ramparts offers an uninterrupted succession of viewpoints over the surrounding countryside and forest.
