Favorite circuit - Vineyard landscapes

This circuit, built around two loops, to the north and south of Mâcon, winds through the Mâconnais, the largest vineyard in Burgundy, and the northern Crus of the neighboring Beaujolais. It crosses the emblematic wine villages of the region, including the village of Chardonnay which gave its name to the famous grape variety.

The northern loop, drawn between vineyards, crops, and woods, and on the lands of Viré-Clessé, offers an authentic countryside setting.

To the south of Mâcon, the route leads to the discovery of the terroirs of Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles to finish, between white and red, on the lands of Saint-Véran and Saint-Amour.

These sequential appellations hold wonderful oenological discoveries for those who take the time to stop at the numerous estates and cellars scattered along the route.

To fully enjoy the adventure, we suggest planning this circuit for at least 2 days.
