The Auxelles mountain housed an important network of resistance fighters. Several monuments maintain the memory, during the Second World War, of the shadow fighters killed by the Germans. The Lamboley monument particularly recalls the death of the mayor Louis Lamboley, executed by the Germans in 1944. On May 1, 2011, the Path of Memory was inaugurated, in memory of the maquisards who died for France. This path was established based on the accounts of the last living maquisards.
