Great loop of Givry

This 25 km loop (546 meters of elevation gain) will take you through the wine appellation villages of the Côte Chalonnaise. We recommend finding accommodation near Givry. Leaving in mid-morning from the Post Office square, you can stop at the Givry Vins Cellar, which is also a tourist information point, to discover the activities that will take place during your stay. Allow 6 hours for hiking this loop, not including lunch breaks or tastings during visits.

Several shops await you in Givry to prepare for a picnic during your hike (convenience stores and bakeries). Be careful, there are no other food shops along the route.

After 5 km of walking through vineyards and gentle slopes, you will arrive in Jambles, which has several tasting estates. You can have lunch at the Table Conviviale of Domaine Drain (every lunchtime except Wednesday and Sunday, by reservation only). Take the opportunity to visit the church. You will then discover new vineyard landscapes and hills, and as you head towards the village of Barizey, don't miss its picturesque church.

You will resume your journey towards Saint-Denis-de-Vaux, rediscovering the vineyards and valleys. You will pass by the church, which you should visit if you can.
