Going up to Done

Leave the village square upwards and turn right at the junction; facing the entrance archway of the castle, take the left road on the departmental road towards Saint-Didier. Turn left onto the path after the pond and then shortly after turn right. Continue until reaching a crossroads of four paths and veer left. Follow the pond and emerge onto the Souve road.
To the right once, then again at the junction with a large corner house (direction Les Jouleaux, possible variant). Just before the tower house, take the right and then again to the right a little further on.
At the fork, take the left branch, follow a grove, and turn right. Upon reaching the “Moulin Jouleau,” turn left at the ornamental pond. Continue straight behind the Develay farm and exit onto the Saint Didier road at the Bois Clair. Follow the paved path until the departmental road, turn left, and follow it until the first junction on the right.
Head towards Les Bois Droits-les Menauts and just before the last farm, turn left. At the bottom of this path, return to the right, follow the agricultural buildings, and ascend the small paved road (castle park on the left). At the entrance gate, continue straight on and return to the village square.
Variant:
Continuation possible towards Patigny and Mont Dône (3 km). In Patigny, turn left. At the third junction turn right and then continue on the main path to Mont Dône.
