One of the major pilgrimage and long-distance hiking trails, heading to Compostela in Spain, begins in Cluny and goes to Puy-en-Velay (Haute-Loire). The 22 km between Cluny and Tramayes, south of Saône-et-Loire, follows the GR®76; the route then continues in Rhône on the GR®3. The European marking along the entire route is symbolized by a yellow shell on a blue background. The guide from Editions Chamina (reference 207) is available for sale in bookstores, some tourist offices in Saône-et-Loire, and on the website www.chamina.com.
New: a marked connection path of 13 km starting from the Mâcon-Loché TGV station reaches Cenves (Rhône) and then branches off onto the classic Cluny-Puy-en-Velay-Compostela trail.
