2.Mossig Sommerau

Follow the D218 towards Wasselonne-Romanswiller, take the D224 and cross the hamlet of Freudeneck where you can see the LAST SAWMILL OF THE VILLAGE. At the entrance of the village of Romanswiller, located on the edge of the forest and at the confluence of the rivers Mossig and Sommerau, turn left towards Allenwiller, and at the second intersection turn right onto the RD817. Cross the municipality of Allenwiller where 10 FOUNTAINS FLOW NIGHT AND DAY since the 20th century. At the second intersection turn right onto the RD 817, once you cross the village head towards Salenthal. Stay on the main street then turn left to reach Birkenwald where you will see the RENAISSANCE CASTLE. Continue towards Wangenbourg D229 then turn right towards Obersteigen where you can freely visit the 13th CENTURY CHAPEL. Retrace your steps by taking the D218 which will lead you to Wangenbourg.
