Jean-Frédéric Oberlin, Protestant pastor of Ban de la Roche, lived in Waldersbach for 59 years and died there in 1826. For more than 50 years, the Oberlin Museum has ensured the promotion of the work of this prominent figure of 18th-century Alsace. A visionary pastor, pioneer of pedagogy, and ardent defender of social progress, Oberlin left a strong mark on his time and continues to be a reference.
