Tour de l'Alsace by Bike (North)

The Route
Starting from Strasbourg the European city, you will take the legendary EuroVelo15 – Rhine Cycle Route and cross the Rhineland forest of Robertsau before reaching Wantzenau, Gambsheim, Drusenheim, Seltz, Munchhausen, and Lauterbourg, all deeply connected to the Rhine.

You will continue on the Cycle Route of the Lauter Valley to Wissembourg, a charming fortified town that houses a magnificent Gothic abbey. A short detour into Germany in the Palatinate will allow you to discover the charm of the Dahn area and its rocky peaks.

You will return to France and the Regional Natural Park of the Northern Vosges by following the Cycle Route of the Sauer Valley and pass near the must-see Fleckenstein Castle.

From Lembach, you will divert towards Reichshoffen, then Ingwiller in the Hanau region and La Petite Pierre in the heart of the Northern Vosges.
You will continue along quiet little country roads towards Alsace Bossue.

In Wittring in Moselle, you will connect with EuroVelo5 – Via Romea and the peaceful Cycle Route of the Saar Canal and Cycle Route of the Marne to the Rhine Canal. Several beautiful stops will be offered to you, including the ponds of Mittersheim and Stock, the inclined plane of Arzviller, and the lock-keepers' valley before taking a well-deserved break in Saverne, the city of the Rohan family.
You will then head south on the V52 dotted with tunnels and bridges dedicated to cyclists until you reach Romanswiller, then Wasselonne and Marlenheim where you will join the Alsace Wine Route.

In Soultz-les-Bains, you will take the Cycle Route of the Bruche Canal back to the starting point.
