Grand tour of the Little Alsatian Camargue

Set off for an immersion in the heart of the Petite Camargue Alsacienne, a vast preserved natural area located at the extreme southeast of Haut-Rhin, at the crossroads of France, Germany, and Switzerland.

This circuit of about 9 kilometers invites you to explore more deeply the first national nature reserve of Alsace, designated in 1982. Nestled in the old major bed of the Rhine, within its characteristic braided zone, it offers varied landscapes shaped by water and time.

Along the way, you will cross a true mosaic of natural habitats where reed beds, wet meadows, floodplain forests, and arms of the Rhine coexist. This exceptional diversity, linked to the convergence of several biogeographic influences, fosters the presence of remarkable fauna and flora.

Created to preserve the emblematic species and environments of the Rhine plain, the reserve also reflects the history of the river and the significant ecological restoration efforts undertaken over the years.

This circuit constitutes an ideal immersive experience for walkers in search of nature and discovery, between observation, a change of scenery, and understanding of a nationally important protected space.
