Itinerary - The Grand Tour of the Valley - Stage 3

Orbey is full of wonders, both natural and cultural. After exploring the left side of the village, this new journey takes you to the other side where various atmospheres succeed one another. Start in a fairy-tale forest where the stones tell legends. Then dive into the military past of World War I by crossing the battlefield of Linge. The traces of the past have left exceptional landscapes where nature and culture become one. You can complete your day by visiting the Linge memorial museum, which displays French and German artifacts found on site. It is an essential place for any history lover.

From there, you will gain altitude and gradually reach the typical landscapes. From there, you have a view on one side of the rounded peaks of the Vosges massif such as Hohneck, and on the other side, the Kaysersberg valley.

Then head towards Lake Noir, which will be your final destination after walking around it. This small lake, located at an altitude of 955m, will surprise you with its many unexpected settings. This new stage crossed will also mark the completion of half the route.
